Lutheran Family Centers' FQHC network is playing an integral part helping New Yorkers find affordable health insurance through the New York State of Health Marketplace.
Four certified application counselors have been hired with funding made possible through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). "Their roles are to assist, check eligibility and enroll individuals and families in the new qualified health plans," said Jeannie Alberts, network program manager.
Three counselors, including Mirsonia Molina, Luz Maria Villada and Ursula Wood are stationed at LFHC's Family Support Center but will also work throughout the network. Leonard Thomas, another counselor, will be working with the Community Medicine Program, and he is located at the Barbara Kleiman Shelter.
